چکیده
2. Periodic flushing.?Do this by fire-hose pipes connected to the hydrants by a hydrantconnector. Dry the surface thoroughly with squeezers on the platforms and swabs in the waiting rooms, etc. 3. Collection of paper rubbish, fruit peels and skins.?-Do this in small waste-bins fixed at regular intervals' along the platform pillars. Banana skins lying on the platforms result nearly daily into passengers slipping and hurting themselves. 4. Minimizing pan and spitting nuisance.?Do this by providing spittoons at regular intervals in corners commonly used by the passengers. 5. Minimizing offensive smells.?Do this by cementing the P. Way track in between the platformsNso that to the track, after it has been cleaned and washed, disinfectants and deodorants like bleaching or carbolic powder, can be easily applied. At present this track becomes muddy and unsightly after washing and never shows a clean appearance. 6. Minimizing noises.?Do this by stoppage of shouting by hawkers and forbidding use of iron-wheeled trollies. Ail trollies used must have rubber tyres as besides the noise nuisance they ruin the smooth surface of the platforms and approaches and no repair work can stand
